DR. GHALY: There are alternative solutions that could help to cope with stress such as take a breath, take a break, eat well, sleep well, exercise, etc. Encourage you to check in with your family and/or friends. You also can give advice if needed. Be sure to do what you can do to support your child since they may be under stress due to school and they might not feel like not able to reach for support. But don’t forget to have a self care. Some people might think that’s selfish thing to do, but they’re wrong. It is important to have a self care for your mental health, so you can keep going instead of break down. Some of you don’t have health insurance, there is a website where you can get insurance.
