DCS Interpreting Restorative Forums

Instructor will focus on a healthy cultural change that promotes building and restoring the meaningful roles that interpreters have within the Deaf community of all intersectional identities. The groups throughout the day will explore how restorative practices will be integrated in their daily work with Deaf clients and communities with an action-focused mindset.

9-11:30am – Interpreter in-person session: This session will be for interpreters interested in meting with us in-person to discuss issues impacting the interpreting community. There will be opportunities for 1-on-1 meetings if needed at the end of the session. Includes .2 PPO CUEs.

1-2:30pm – Interpreter Remote Session: This session will be virtual and allow for those individuals who would rather meet at a distance. This session will also provide for 1-on-1 meetings if needed. Includes .2 PPO CUEs.

3-5pm – Open Session for the community and interpreters (hybrid). The final session will be an open session for any stakeholders to meet with us. This session will be both available for in-person or virtual.
