[WHITE TEXT:  20 million people vaccinated]

GOVERNOR NEWSOM: We have counted over 20 million people have been vaccinated, this is great news.

[Image ID: A graph that shows the rate of new cases being reported. The transmission rate is dropping to its lowest point since.]

GOVERNOR NEWSOM: The number of people getting the virus everyday has gone down.  That means there are more ICU beds available at our hospitals.  This is good because when you have an emergency and need to go to a hospital, they will be able to serve you. In the city of San Francisco, where we were at the color purple tier, then red, and now orange.  Soon, next week, SF will downgrade to yellow.  Again, good news.

As of April 1st, people 50 years old or older have been eligible to receive COVID vaccination.  Now for people 16 years old or older, you all will be eligible for the vaccination starting on April 15th.

GOVERNOR NEWSOM: Please take time to make an appointment online to choose a location, a date and a time.  Be sure to bring your mask with you when you go to get your vaccine.  Since our goal is to reduce COVID-19, please continue to stay safe and wear your masks, do not mingle with a large number of people.  Even if you are vaccinated, please continue to wear masks. We are hope that by June 15th, California will be able to drop the color tier system completely.  All businesses will be able to reopen fully.

GOVERNOR NEWSOM: However, please it is very important to remember, even if you are vaccinated or not sick, to continue to wear a mask, wash hands, practice social distancing.  Please support your family and friends to get vaccinated and to continue wearing the mask. Thank you.
